I have been involved in the computer industry for over 25 years, and am currently employed full time as a systems administrator for Toyota of Waldorf a Car Dealership in Maryland. My responsibilities include the system administration for 16 file servers (Windows & Linux), and over 150 workstations (including remote laptops), corporate network security, IP telephony (Cisco IP phone system), local & wide area network design and maintenance, custom software/database development & graphics design. I also do Computer Support and Consulting part time as "Gillis Enterprises" supporting businesses & home computer systems in the Baltimore/Washington area for over 20 years. Since moving to Edgewater in 2004 I have been providing services to businesses & home users in the Edgewater area. After a long lay-off I returned to the sport of skydiving in 2012, and now I am skydiving almost every weekend in the summer months at SkyDive Delmarva. I have invested in several GoPro video cameras and shoot freefall video on every jump I make as well as shoot freefall video for student skydivers. All of my videos can be found on my Facebook page as well as my YouTube page, and some of my better videos and pictures can also be found here. I am also an avid (others have been known to say "obsessed") Amateur Radio Operator (aka a ham radio operator) and I have been licensed for over 30 years, about 10 years ago I upgraded from "tech" class to "general" class which gave me privileges to operate on the "HF" (world wide) amateur bands. As of this writing the furthest contact I have had has been Australia (over 10,000 miles away) I enjoy designing and building my own antennas, I operate on HF and VHF and you can always find me on APRS by going to location.n3ujj.com. 10 years ago I bought a 26 foot Sea Ray Sundancer cabin cruiser that spent several years restoring, during that time I lived on the boat most of the summer months. Pictures of the project can be seen from the "personal" link at the top of the page. For 25 plus years I was an active skydiver, and for 4 years ( in the 80's) was captain of the 4 man skydiving team that represented Maryland in the National Skydiving Championships. I have made over 1,200 skydives and have been awarded "Gold Wings" by the United States Parachute Association, as well as achieving a class"D" (expert) license. During that same time period I became a FAA licensed "Private" fixed wing pilot, and FAA certified parachute rigger.
